Fish can take a while to acclimate to their new tank. Give them time to adjust, they’ll come out eventually.

They’re just scared. They need time to get used to their surroundings. Are they the only fish in the tank? If you have other cichlids or aggressive fish, the parrots may feel intimidated. If they’re the only fish in the tank, just give them some time. They’ll come out. I have 3 parrot fish and they are my most active and friendly fish. They “greet” me when I come home, they play games with the rocks (it’s so cute, they spit them at each other and make little rock mountains) and they swim around like crazy. Parrots also love live food. Get a few feeder guppies and they’ll come out of that cave in a hurry :)
