When I was little, I remember a long haired medium size brown dog. Just a shaggy mutt. Not sure what it was a mix of though. I can just barely remember him.

Then, we had a Samoyed, a Chow, a Cocker Spaniel, and a couple of toy poodles. Around the age of 18, my parents got a Pomeranian. When he passed, they got a Sheltie.

When I got married at age 19, we had a Pekingese. Then, we got into showing and training Pomeranians. We also had a Bulldog and a Standard Poodle.

Now, we have an American Eskimo.

Whiskey- Border Collie x Kelpie, she was my Dad’s dog when I was little and died at the ripe age of 18. I don’t remember much about her.

Pepsi- Red Healer x Kelpie- She was my familie’s childhood dog. She was amazing; though sadly she died at 8 years old.

Coco- (current) Jack Russell x Fox Terrier, she’s 5 years old and I couldn’t ask for a better dog. She’s so tolerant with our new puppy. Here’s a photo: http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m215/squishy-paws/Photos/Coco/cocophotolol.jpg

Indi- (current) our new beagle x cocker spaniel puppy! She’s such a little terror and is starting to annoy my other dog now. She always chases her and Coco’s tail. Here’s a picture: http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m215/squishy-paws/Photos/Indi/indi_black2.jpg

So yes, these are the dogs that my family and I have owned. :)

When I was younger, we had beaucerons and dobermans. Then, we got a golden retriever (who had puppies with a black lab/pit bull). Before she mated, we had adopted a retriever mix from the shelter. He unfortunately escaped the fence on night and got hit by a car. When our golden retriever did mate, we kept three of them, and found the others homes. After we moved to NC, a woman dropped off an akita/shepherd mix pup, and we took him in. Then, we got a beagle/chow mix puppy (mother had been beheaded and her pups–alive–had been put in the plastic bag with her and thrown by the side of the road). A bit after that, my dad found two stray pups on the road. One looked to be a boxer/pit mix, the other maybe german shepherd/? Then, we found two more strays, black lab/? (looked like lab, kinda, but had high rear haunches and lots of curly black hair). We got them over parvo and back to health and then found them homes. Then, we had to ‘adopt’ my sister’s dogs. One is a terrier mix, one is a spaniel mix, and the other is a pit mix.

Answer #20

We had a few dogs before I was old enough to remember them, but of the dogs I remember, here they are.

1. Shadow (golden retriever X newfoundland mix from the pound) I was 6. He’s dead now unfortunately.

2. Sugar (wolf X border collie mix from the pound) I was 9. She died a long time ago from pancreatitis.

3. Spike (miniature pinscher from a breeder) I was 14. He’s still alive and well.

4. Daisy (Great Dane from an owner who rescued Daisy’s mom when she was pregnant) I was 15. She is alive, but not well, she is suffering from Wobblers, and does not have very long to live.

5. Peanut (miniature pinscher, from a breeder) I was 17. She is still alive and VERY well.

Next year I’m buying one or two puppies, I’m not sure how many. I am thinking Saluki and Afghan Hound puppies. As you can see, I have not had good luck with the health of my animals and sighthounds are generally very healthy.

1st. Charpeicur (I so spelled that wrong), 7th. B-day, as puppy from neighbor. Dad said no to Wrinkles, so neighbor kept her for a year then gave her to a farm.

2nd. Jack Russell Terrier, age 12, as puppy from friend in S.C. Sir Winston Churchill disppeared after 2 yrs.

3rd. Catahoula Leapard/Pitbull-mixed puppy, age 16, got her for Christmas from friend. Lightning storm claimed Bow…

4th. Pitbull puppy, age 17,friend moved and I volunteered to foster Semperfi till I could find a home for her, so they wouldn’t have to take her to the animal shelter. She was adopted a few weeks ago.

Future 5th. Rat Terrier, age 17 (might as well be 18), people answered my want add in the paper because they’re moving. I’ll get her Saturday. Hopefully, he’ll be around for a long time. I met him, but forgot to ask what his name is yet. He’s such a cutie pie! Tiny as a kitten!

Answer #25

when i was a baby back in 1977 we had a lab shepherd mix.

Then got a Golden retriever around 1980. He was already an adult dog when we got him. .

Then when i was 5 in 1983 we got a white terrier mix. The pet store said she was a Samoyed and Cocker Spaniel mix. but don’t think she was Cocker because she was a perfect dog. She was a very smart, well mannered dog. she passed away in 1991.

Then a friend of ours found a shepherd mix roaming the streets. I think in 1985. She was extremely smart. She passed away 2 years later.

Then we got an Malamute Shepherd mix i think about 1989. My mom gave him away to a fireman before he was a year old.

Then we rescued an American Bulldog / Pit Bull mix from a high kill shelter in 1992. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 15 years.

Then when i was 15 years old. I think in 1993. Someone’s dog on my street had puppies so we got one of those. She was a Lab / Shepherd mix. But my mom gave her away to a dog trainer because i didn’t know haw to train her properly. She kept jumping the fence and chasing people down the street, and attacking the mailman.

Then we got a Cocker mix from the shelter when i was 16. She just passed away this past March. She was about 15 years old

Then when i was 17 my parents bought me a pure bred Boxer for a graduation present. She passed away in 2006 at the age of almost 11 years.

Then in 2005 i bought my first Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Then a few months later the Breeder gave me an older Cavalier that she retired from breeding.

Then about a year later 2006 i got my third Cavalier.

Then i bred 2 of my Cavaliers together and kept one. He was born in June 2007

Then i was visiting a friend that had Cavalier puppies then i got another one on January 5, 2008.

Then this past June i got another Cavalier. She was purchased from the same breeder i got my first 2 Cavaliers from. The lady that bought her found out her daughter got cancer so she had to find a new home for her. So i bought her when she was 4 months old.

So currently i have 6 Cavalier king Charles Spaniels.

Answer #28

When I was very young, my parents had Dachshunds though I don’t count them as “what I had”. When I was around 10 (after the Doxies passed) we got a mix of ????Border Collie/Spaniel/Sheltie???? When I was in High School my parents bought me a purebred Sheltie for obedience trialing. Got into conformation showing/breeding with Shelties, then stopped when my kids were about 3 and 5 years old. Discovered agility with my ast Sheltie. Now have a Border Collie.
